Service Update

The Dirt House is pausing service intake.

The Dirt House will not be accepting suspension service work during the Spring semester and potentially through the summer. This pause allows me to focus fully on academic commitments while ensuring that all existing relationships are handled with care and professionalism.

What This Means

  • I am not accepting service requests at this time

  • I will continue to communicate with current and past clients

  • Existing conversations, records, and recommendations remain available

Planning Ahead for Suspension Service

If your bike will need service during this time, I strongly recommend planning ahead and scheduling work early through local shops that can facilitate suspension servicing. Anchorage has several great options, and most shops can coordinate factory or third-party suspension service on your behalf. If you’re unsure where to start, I’m happy to help point you in the right direction.

Please note that response times may be slower than usual.

Updates about reopening and future availability will be shared here.

Service Intervals Matter

Did you know that neglecting your suspension can lead to performance issues? Most manufacturers recommend having your suspension fully serviced every year to ensure optimal performance. Don't let your suspension hold you back from your next adventure.

Experienced and Reliable Service

Established in January 2020, The Dirt House has quickly gained a reputation for delivering professional suspension service. With over a decade in the cycling industry, we are trusted by bike shops across the state to provide factory level service at a fraction of the time.

Regular Cleaning and Lubrication

Keeping the suspension components clean from dirt, mud, and debris is essential for their longevity and proper functioning. Clean the stanchions, seals, and dust wipers after every ride to prevent contaminants from damage and premature wear.

Setup and Tuning

Proper suspension setup is vital for achieving optimal performance and comfort while riding. This includes setting the sag, rebound damping, and compression damping according to rider weight, riding style, and terrain. Understanding how these adjustments affect the bike's handling and responsiveness is crucial for fine-tuning the suspension to suit individual preferences and riding conditions.
